Solar in Massachusetts
Currently in Massachusetts there are tax credits for solar hot water, solar space heating and photovoltaic systems.

- The MA Tax Credit for solar hot water systems is $1,000.00
- The Federal Tax Credit for solar hot water systems is 30% with a maximum cap of $2,000 for residential projects and no cap for commercial projects.
- The MA Tax Credit for solar space heating systems is $1,000.00
- The Federal Tax Credit for solar space heating systems is 30% with a maximum cap of $2,000 for residential projects and no cap for commercial projects.
- The MTC provides grants for residential and commercial photovoltaic systems. Please call us for more details since the incentive is based on a number of factors.

Basic Requirements:
Photovoltaics:
- You need a totally unshaded southerly facing roof or yard
- Your roof needs to be in good condition
Solar Hot Water:
- You need a mostly unshaded roof that is facing Southeast to South West or a sunny yard where we can install the collectors on a ground mount
- Your roof needs to be in good condition
Solar Space Heating:
- We need to mount the collectors at a steep angle (60 degrees is best)
- The roof needs to be unshaded and south facing
- You can install the collectors on a ground mount system
- You need radiant heating or a HydroAir system for best results
