- Vermont Energy Investment Corporation also provides incentives for wind turbines of
up to $12,500.
- Vermont has a Net Metering Law, which allows you to sell electricity back to the
electric company by crediting your next month's bill and reconciling annually. Net metering is available for residential and agricultural photovoltaic and wind systems.
Basic Requirements:
Residential Wind
- You need to live in an area with strong winds
- The turbine needs to be above the trees or any nearby buildings
- You have to have enough property for the tower to be able to lay down and still be on your property
- You probably need to get a zoning variance
